How would you like to be able to network with other folks who sincerely care about the planet and making it better, and maybe even making some money while doing so? IOE and our partners NTP/CEED will be initiating Ecolonomic Meetup Groups around the country!! Starting in Northern Colorado, we will be having a monthly networking, socializing and educational event with refreshments, speakers, and other cool things.
We have started three Meetups here in Northern Colorado which are listed below. Please join one or all of these and join with us to meet on a regular basis and talk about how we can do little things and big things to “Make a little Money Making the Planet Better”.

Also, we need volunteers to help so let us know if you are interested!! Whether you’re engaged in the environmental field for a living or are passionate about it as a cause, this group might be for you. We’re an avenue for networking, fun, and connection.
The group primarily consists of professionals in the environmental services industry.
I created this group back in May 2011, new to the Bay Area, and wanted to find a group in SF that combined networking for environmental professionals and happy hours. There was no group that quite fit the mold, so I decided to create one. That initial impulse is still the group’s core focus, but it’s expanded to be more than just that. (Join Group)
This group enjoys local (and regional) trips to see wildlife in the Raleigh, Wake County area of North Carolina. We focus on birdwatching, and we enjoy teaching anyone who is new to birding. We welcome visitors to the area who want to attend our trips.
We also volunteer for various events, including river cleanups, prairie management at local parks, nestbox maintenance, helping with events at various parks and museums, and “citizen science” projects (such as Christmas Bird Count and Great Backyard Bird Count). (Join Group)
We are an umbrella group of environmental volunteers from around the Solent area – who care about the state of their local shoreline and urban areas. Through embracing a ‘second-hand’ ethos, giving waste educational workshops, creating up-cycling activities/performances and organising litter-picks – we aim to draw attention to and spread the word about re-cycling, waste management and keeping your local landscape free of rubbish – making our surroundings a more pleasant place to live in. We aim to make our cause fun too… with social, community gatherings of like-minded helpers – usually meeting up before and after our environmental event. (Join Group)
Meet with other local Environmental Professionals! We are re-starting a chapter of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (www.naep.org), called the Mid-America Association of Environmental Professionals (MAAEP). Our mission is to be the interdisciplinary organization dedicated to developing the highest standards of ethics and proficiency in the environmental professions. Our members are public and private sector professionals who promote excellence in decision-making in light of the environmental, social, and economic impacts of those decisions. (Join Group)
This is a group for anyone interested in environmental education entrepreneurship. Whether you consult on environmental education outreach, curriculum or policy, own an eco-tourism business, or are just getting started and would like to learn from others about how to make a living as an entrepreneur in environmental education–let’s meet up to share ideas and learn from one another’s experiences — and even take a hike or other outdoor activity together on occasion! We’d like to nurture a feeling of community and support (moral and expert). Looking forward to meeting you! (Join Group)
