Lee is part of the 37-member South Korean Antarctic Research Expedition that has arrived at Terra Nova Bay in the Ross Sea region of the frozen land, where South Korea plans to start construction of the nation’s second scientific research base by December this year. The team reached the bay on the Araon, a South Korean icebreaker, the previous day.
