This week I spent the majority of my time in the office working on our project which so far has been a great learning experience for me in terms of learning how building a website works. I drafted a decent chunk of content for our HOPE for the Hopeless page, and in the process was able to learn more about the history of the sustainable operation in Madera, Mexico, as well as, about how CEED and Nourish the Planet factor into this operation. In looking for the right fords to express HOPE’s mantra, I have come to better understand the more tangible application of “empowerment rather than entitlement” myself.
Additionally, working and experimenting with WordPress has made me realize how much easier it is to create a website than I thought. I know the skills I am gaining here in the technological respect and will be invaluable to me in the future and I can’t wait to learn even more.
In terms of other happenings of the past week; Jason and I spent an interesting Friday the 13th at the Centennial Auction yard. Personally I think this intern office space could do with that giant Pepsi fridge
