Every week that goes by seems to bring new ideas and new challenges. This week was no exception. I started it off by submitting a graduate level research paper and beginning the business administration side of my internship here at Nourish the Planet. Now, at the end of the week, I have survived a major dental surgery and started to prepare to move out of my apartment. I’ve been busy to say the least. It has been a week of learning, all of which has involved Wayne Dorband in one way or another. He has been going out of his way to ensure that I understand how the business runs. Given that almost every aspect is new to me, it feels like the puzzle is starting to come together. These new skills are exactly what I need to gain the confidence required to move forward.
Much of my free time has been spent brain storming ideas with fellow interns, staff, friends, and family. I am starting to develop a plan-of-action for the summer months. For now, however, I am just trying to keep an open mind and remain patient for the right opportunity to take action.
