The World Aquaculture Conference is going to be held in Australia this year. The date and venue of the conference has been set, and it is going to be a 5 day conference, starting from June 7 and will end on June 11, 2014, at Adelaide Convention Center in Adelaide, Australia. Australia is hosting the event for the first time since 1999.

A number of environmental scientists government agencies, government delegates, businesses as well as fish farmers are expect to attend this conference which will have the theme of nature, create, grow, which will reflect the nature of dynamic growth of aquaculture in Australia.

The state’s economy is expected to get a boost of up to $11.5 million with this conference, with expected 2,000 to 3000 delegated who plan to attend this international conference. Ms. Gago also added that aquaculture science and industry event coming to Adelaide shows how well focused South Australia is as a producer of safe seafood from clean aquatic environment of the oceans. Australia will also be proudly showcasing their fishing and aquaculture techniques, their successes, their research and innovations to the world.

Australia is also opaquacultured fishoptimistic regarding their marine environment. The emphasis is being put on strong connection between tourism and aquaculture. Australia has recognized how important it is to improve, develop and manage aquaculture sector and marine environment efficiently, and this is exactly what Australia has done to win the hosting privileges of the 2014 World Aquaculture Conference.

The Adelaide Convention Bureau and the World Aquaculture Society are also collectively supporting a booth at the approaching Trade Show /Aquaculture America Conference in Nashville, Tennessee to promote the World Aquaculture Conference 2014. The objective of the booth will be to focus on the various aquaculture activities and also the tourist attraction of South Australia, at a greater depth.
